Step 1: The Prompt What factors contributed most in the development of early manufacturing in the United States?
Step 2: Brainstorm O.I. Market Revolution Cotton Factories labor Cotton Production Correlation with slavery Transportation / Infrastructure Reasons and need for Effects Pictures to accompany a lecture based off of previous years ppt. slides. Students take notes from the lecture using the above as their guideline. - students should write this guideline down in their notes.
Step 3: The Documents Read and annotate documents A-J. You have 20 minutes to complete this task.
Step 4: Organize Information Using the outside information we compiled and your document annotations organize your historical data into logical and appropriate categories.
Step 5: Answer the Prompt/Thesis Your thesis needs to directly address the prompt providing your answer and how you plan to prove your argument. What factors contributed most in the development of early manufacturing in the United States?
Step 6: Write the Essay Your task now is… Write your introduction paragraph (Historical Context), ending with your thesis statement. Write your body paragraph topic sentences and transitions. List historical evidence you will use in each body paragraph Write your conclusion.
