THE E Fund Mission Statement The Taconic Hills Educational Enrichment Fund was created in 1999 for the purpose of facilitating and supporting educational enrichment initiatives at Taconic Hills Central School for students at all grade levels using private philanthropic resources. The assets of the Fund are invested to produce income and growth in perpetuity, to provide grants to the School. The purpose of the grants is to empower the School to create a learning environment which is continuously improving.

These initiatives will serve to distinguish the School in terms of the quality of the educational experience offered its students. The Fund will create an important link between the School and the members of the community it serves. It is intended to perpetuate a sense of pride in the School. Within the school population it can generate and encourage an excitement and enthusiasm that comes from knowing that innovative thinking, good ideas, thoughtful experimentation and dreams are capable of realization, all within the context of improving educational opportunities offered the students.

Our next Challenge The Ungar Challenge is now complete. Thanks to their generosity over $26,000 has been doubled, $50,000 is being used for Artists in Residence programs, and we were able to give out $5,000 per year to applicants to the Fund. Now we must raise at least $2,500 annually to provide grants to the school’s community.
