Setting up a new company Cloudware refers to software that is built, installed, delivered and accessed entirely from a remote Web server. This is called the “Cloud.” The company set up in Chapter 2 is called Cloud_Ware Student Name. To identify your company, add your first and last name after Cloud_Ware. Cloud_Ware provides hosting services for retail businesses, schools, and medical and legal offices. 2 of 12

Students can the instructor their User ID and Password. If using this step, the instructor should set up a time with the student to receive the ed 6-digit Confirmation code. Refer to Chapter 2’s Company Administrator steps. Instructors can see their students’ work by logging into the company, then viewing the Audit Log (Gear > Settings Menu > Audit Log). 3 of 12

Each setting configures QBO to work the way you want. If an Updated settings reminder appears, a feature has changed. In order to collect feedback, Intuit tests changes on specific companies or groups of users. This slide shows changes to the Settings Menu. For example, Your Company is moved to the first column, and Company Settings is replaced with Account and Settings. To learn what has changed, read Updated settings reminders. 6 of 12

The first column shows your current date, time, and time zone. Where the author’s name is shown, your name appears. 8 of 12
