W HAT I S S TATISTICS ? Statistics is the science of data... Data are numbers with a context. We will study four major themes this year: Describing Data - Graphical and Numerical Analysis Collecting Data - Surveys, Studies, and Experiments Probability - The Study of Chance Behavior Inference - Making Conclusions Based on Data

T HE AP E XAM I will be preparing you for the Advanced Placement Statistics Exam. 3 hours Multiple Choice Questions, 6 Free- Response Questions (#6 is a bigger “Investigative Task”) You CAN be successful on this exam IF you put forth the effort ALL YEAR LONG. I will provide you with A LOT of preparation materials as well as insight from the grading of the exam. I need you to provide the effort...
