Texas AP ® Data The percentage of Texas 11 th and 12 th grade students taking AP exams rose from 6.8% in 1995 to 14.2% in 2001

Texas AP ® Data In 2001, 63.8% of the 1,068 Texas public school districts and charter schools with Grade enrollment had students who took at least one AP exam.

Texas AP ® Data In 2001, Texas was third in the nation, behind California and New York, in the number of both AP examinees and AP examinations taken.

Texas AP ® Data From 1987 to 2001, the number of Texas AP examinees increased almost eightfold, from 8,792 to 69,569, while national numbers rose from 259,222 to 820,880 – slightly more than a three-fold increase.

Texas AP ® Data From 1987 to 2001, the number of AP examinations taken by Texas students rose nearly ten-fold, while the number of examinations taken nationally almost quadrupled.

Texas AP ® Data The number of Texas public and non-public schools participating in AP examinations also rose between 1987 and 2001 by over 270% (from 285 to 1,063), while the increase nationally was 67% (from 7,776 to 12,960).

Texas AP ® Data The overall percentage of Texas AP examinees scoring in the 3-5 range declined from 57.7% in 2000 to 53.7% in 2001.
