Hie Isolde around LS1, 1 March 2012 Erwin Siesling 41 Transfer lines courtesy Fredrik Wenander / Didier Voulot - The number of dipoles could be reduced by turning the ring 15 degrees (two 60 deg dipoles less) - Re-usage of Heidelberg magnets will reduce the costs. Available: 20 quadrupoles, 2 dipoles 60 deg (Attn. power-supplies 30 years old..)

Hie Isolde around LS1, 1 March 2012 Erwin Siesling 43 TSR costs Building costs: Rough estimate 3.5 MChf max. (including the 12m experimental space) The civil engineering study is ongoing and at the design office (outsourced) (Eliseo Perez-Duenas, CERN, GS/SE) 20t Overhead crane: not less than 300kChf (25 m wide, 20t, over 30m) (Caterina Bertone, CERN, EN/HE) Water station: 1MW 27C rough estimate 700kChf (Yannic Body, CERN, EN/CV) A few elements need 20C: some turbo pumps at inj and ej which could run at 27C and additional fan cooling, however, the cryo-compressors need 5kW of 20C water and the high power solenoid for the e-cooling as well Transfer Line: Injection line 1385kChf, Ejection line 915kChf = 1.3MChf (Fredrik Wenander, CERN, BE/ABP) Some elements can be recuperated from Heidelberg: to be discussed with Manfred Grieser Infrastructure: ventilation, electricity – no numbers yet. FTE’s – no numbers yet.
