Memory Verse 2 Tim 2:4, “No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.”

John 15:18-21 Obstructions to Divine Good Production: Reason #1: Satan’s Cosmic System hates the believer! Reason #2: We are not of this world-Election out from the World! Reason #3: “The servant is not greater than his Lord,” therefore we too will have persecutions! John 15:21, “But all these things, (persecutions), they, (those of Satan’s Cosmic System), will do to you all (disciples of the Lord) for the sake of My (Jesus’) name. Because they (self- righteous religious types) inherently do not know the One (God the Father) who sent Me (Jesus Christ).”

Principles: 7. In Rom 10:1-17, we have the ignorance of Israel which parallels what our Lord is saying in John 15:21. OUK OIDA – “They do not know.”

Vs. 3 –Three aspects of the self-righteous religious type and their relationship to the true righteousness of God.

a. They do not know God’s righteousness.

a. They do not know God’s righteousness. b. They seek to establish their own righteousness. c. They do not submit to God’s righteousness.

8. Three speaks to Divine perfection. With the Greek negative it means the opposite of Divine perfection.

9. Rom 10:3 - AGNOEO – A = negative prefix, plus GINOSKO = “to know”.

Rom 10:3, (KJV) “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.”

10. Those that are self- righteous are ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God…

… and instead are seeking, demanding and/or striving for their own righteousness from the works they perform under law.

11. They strive to make their own righteousness stand up under the scrutiny of God’s justice.

They do not voluntarily place themselves under or obey God’s plan and provisions for their righteousness.

12. The knowledge of God invites believing in Christ which leads to eternal life and living in the righteousness of God. Positional and Experiential Sanctification.

13. Ignorance means: a. Destitute of knowledge or education, lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing.

b. Resulting from or showing a lack of knowledge or intelligence, unaware and uninformed.

c. It may imply a general condition, or a lack of knowledge or awareness of a particular thing.

d. It can be applied to illiterate, unlettered, untutored and unlearned, which means not having knowledge.

e. It is the choice to not act or behave in accordance to certain information in order to suit one’s own needs or beliefs.
