Goals Math By the end of the SY, based on the Georgia Milestones Assessment, there will be an increase in the percentage of students meeting typical/high growth on the Math EOG/EOC, from 53% in 2014 to 60% or more in Reading By the end of the , based on the Georgia Milestones, there will be an increase in the percentage of 8th grade students attaining a Lexile score of 1050 or higher from 72% in 2014 to 77% in Update Math Milestone % of students met typical/high growth on the Math EOG/EOC in We hope 70% or more of our students this year achieve typical to high growth. Reading Milestone th Grade Students with Lexile of 1010 or higher: 66%

Needs Assessment The Milestone test was much more rigorous than CRCT. Due to this change, schools all over the state saw a drop in achievement, and Howard was a part of that group. However, we are seeing strong growth in all areas, except 6 th grade science. Also, our students need to continue to grow as readers.

Needs Assessment Anticipated Goals for Lexile By the end of the SY, based on the Georgia Milestones Assessment, 70% or more of students will attain a Lexile score within or above the stretch band. Parental Engagement Survey Results Summarize parent feedback on the effectiveness of the parent engagement program General sense that HMS is welcoming to and communicates well with parents. Parents prefer , social media, and text messages. Though parents are aware of opportunities to volunteer at school, they want to know more about how to be involved with the school, and they want more opportunity to share their opinion. Teachers communicate well and frequently with families, but parents want more information about grades (timely input into portal, and work sent home for review).
