Late Modernism: Followers of modernist. Strongly believe in radical and new design. Have great effect of Internationalist style of architecture. Leading Architects: Paul Rudolph, Eero Saarinen, Ed Barns, Philip Johnson. Rejection of ornamentation in design Idols: Mies Van Der Rohe, Le Corbusier etc.

Shinjuku Washington Hotel By :Sakakura Associates Completed in Height : 96m Simple design made elegant with use of curves. Strong effect of internationalist movement. Hotel as seen from top

DETAILS… The hotel has a superb location with good views of Tokyo landmark skyscrapers. All rooms in the main building are designed simply and small in size. FACILTIES: 1296 ROOMS 4 RESTAURENT 1 BAR 1 CAFFEE 1 CONFERENCE ROOM 1 BANQUET HALL Lobby is located on the 3 rd floor with escalator from the ground floor.

Curves make this building different from the surrounding buildings and it is a memorable experience to watch this late modern building in comparison with the near by situated Kenzo Tange’s Shinjuku park Tower which is a postmodern skyscrapper. On right Kenzo Tange’s Shinjuku park Tower

But the Feedbacks are… So, Too many small windows create a sense of cage.
