Book with One Author How will you CITE the source in your paper? As D. Tyler Sgrignoli states in his fabulous book, “because of the amount of human waste the cell phone can attract if used in such an environment, students should leave their cell phones behind when going to the bathroom in high school. No text message is worth that much risk” (Sgrignoli 82). Keep in mind that the reader MUST be able to link the IN-TEXT citation back to the WORKS CITED page.

Books with more than 3 Authors Use the latin phrase “et al” (and others) to abbreviate the authors when there are more than three authors. How will it look on the Works Cited page: Guerin, Wilfred L., et al. A Handbook of Critical Approaches. New York: Oxford University Press, Print.

What if the same expert writes two books that I want to use?

Book by the Same Author Look at the second entry of the WORKS CITED: Fixx, James F. The Complete Book of Running. New York: Random, Print The Second Book of Running. New York: Random, Print. What if I have an author with a common last name? For example: Smith.
