FRIENDSHIP We believe that each camper should grow as a person in their time at camp, and what better way than through friendship. In helping campers do so, we aim to make sure campers go home having built deep, life- long friendships. Among the many goals of our counselors, one of the most important ones is to help ensure that each camper goes home with at least one new friend.

TEAM BUILDING Team Building activities are specifically designed to build camper self- confidence, trust, teamwork and unity. On the ground and in the air, groups are led through various team building exercises that build the skills and cohesiveness necessary for groups and individuals to take on greater challenges on and off the ropes course.

FREE CHOICE Campers have the ability to plan out their own afternoon activities. Choices range from various sports, crafts, challenges, or water activities and change daily! This is a great way for campers to foster independence and to take an active role in constructing their own ideal camp experience.

WATER ACTIVITIES Nothing says summer like time in the water and at Canyon Creek. Campers can partake in swimming, scuba diving, waverunning, water-skiing, wakeboarding, inner tubing, motor boating, and more! Water-lovers can choose to participate twice each week in our water program held at Castaic Lake. Camp vans leave in the morning and return back to camp in the late afternoon. While at the lake, campers receive expert instruction in wakeboarding, water-skiing, tubing and waverunning.

SPORTS Canyon Creek offers a wide variety of daily sports activities. Campers can choose from baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, tennis, golf, cheerleading, pillow polo, volleyball, skateboarding, ultimate frisbee, ga- ga, relay races, game room, ping pong, capture the flag, horseshoes, lacrosse, and more.

EVENING PROGRAMS As the sun begins to set, campers enjoy a wide variety of different events with the entire camp, some of which include Lip Sync, Color Wars, and Camp Idol. It is easy to see why the evening has become campers’ favorite time of the day!

SKITS Skits are a key element at summer camp. Campers work together with each other and their counselors to come up with creative and fun skits on a daily basis. Campers leave camp with increased confidence and great comfort in knowing they are safe and secure in “just being themselves” which is usually pretty goofy!

CAMPFIRE Campers all come together in our outdoor amphitheater to sing their favorite camp songs and listen as counselors recognize positive camp achievements. Then, campers get to watch – or even star in – some of our hilarious Canyon Creek Summer Camp skits!

Canyon Creek Summer Camp provides a safe, non-competitive environment where boys and girls build confidence and independence, learn teamwork and develop problem-solving skills. It is one of the premiere California sleepaway summer camps. For more information please call (661) or Daryl at Or visit
