Foundations of Catholicism Middle School Retreat (entering 6 th – 9 th grade this Fall) June 10 h at 6pm – 12 th at 9:30am This retreat is designed to strengthen and build the faith foundation of the youth through talks and activities focused on understanding their Catholic faith. Topics: the Mass, the Our Father, the Rosary, Meditation, Praying, Fasting, & Almsgiving. The cost is only $95 and limited to the first 100 to register! Contact your youth minister today to secure your spot. The retreat will be led by Kim Brown and the Kingdom of God Sisters at Bonner Hall at NCTC in Gainesville, Texas. Foundations of Catholicism Middle School Retreat June 10 th at 6pm – 12 th at 19:30am *Space is limited to the first 100 youth and chaperones to register through your parish. Parish must submit registration and payment to secure spots. *The parish is responsible for ensuring proper number of approved KCS chaperones per youth that you are brining as well as having the proper forms for each youth attending. *The retreat is open to incoming and outgoing middle school students (entering 6 th – 9 th grade for the school year). This retreat is designed to strengthen and build the faith foundation of the youth through talks and activities focused on understanding their Catholic faith. Topics: the Mass, the Our Father, the Rosary, Meditation, Praying, Fasting, & Almsgiving. The cost is only $95 when registered by May 13 th and includes: 2 nights-lodging (dormitory style room); 4 meals (Saturday breakfast – Sunday breakfast); retreat shirt; and all materials for ice- breakers and talks. If space is available after May 13th, the late registration cost increases to $105. The retreat will be led by Kim Brown and the Kingdom of God Sisters at Bonner Hall at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas.

California St; Gainesville *Space is limited to the first 100 youth and chaperones to register through your parish. Parish must submit registration and payment to secure spots. The names of the people attending can change – please ensure an updated roster and t-shirt size is sent by May 20 to ensure we have the correct t-shirt size and room- mate match. Foundations of Catholicism Middle School Retreat June 10 th at 6pm – 12 th at 9:30am Greetings, I am so excited that you have made the decision to attend this retreat that is set-up to empower you to understand your faith and to be the person that God created you to be! During this retreat you will have the chance to make friends, learn your faith, and grow closer to God. To help you prepare for this retreat I am including this packing list and as you pack please remember to dress respectful of yourself and others. In addition, I invite you to read Matthew 7:24-27 and think about the foundation of your faith. Notice that the retreat starts at 6pm and attendees are expected to have already eaten dinner (there are many placed to eat in Gainesville near NCTC). On Sunday attendees are expected to depart at 9:30am, this will allow everyone to attend Sunday Mass at their parish or a nearby parish (St Peter’s in Lindsay is at 10am & St. Mary’s in Gainesville is at 11am). Saturday we will attend Mass (please no short-shorts or tank tops). -Bring a jacket in case it is cold in the lecture hall. -Bring an outfit you are okay getting wet and dirty. -Shoes that you can run in -Flip-flops for taking a shower -Modest pajamas – will walk in hallway to the bathroom Linens: -Towel – for showering -Bedding and pillow for twin bed – twin sheets of sleeping bag Personal: -Shower Supplies (Shampoo & Soap) -Toothbrush & Toothpaste, Comb/Brush, Deodorant -Medications, Medicine, and Feminine Products -Alarm Clock -Cell Phones, Ipods, etc – will only be allowed in the youth bedrooms To Share: -Snack (prefer individually wrapped types of food and at least a 12-pack) -24 Case of Water or Soda
