Counseling Vision Statement The Couch Middle School counseling program will help students maximize their potential to become effective leaders at home, work, and community. Our program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to be empathetic, compassionate, honest, and loyal to themselves and others. As a result, students will become contributing members of our ever changing world, accepting of cultural diversity, responsible citizens, self-empowered, and successful lifelong learners.

Counseling Mission Statement The mission of the Couch Middle School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive developmentally age-appropriate guidance and counseling program, which is accessible to all students regardless of race, religion, and economic status. Certified professional school counselors will inspire students to be academically successful, self-motivated, and respectful members of the community, the country, and ultimately the world through core curriculum lessons, small groups, and individual counseling.

Beliefs - Highlighted Equality of education School counselors should be an advocate for all students, a leader by example, and a bridge between school and home. Every student has innate gifts to be discovered, developed, and utilized. Every student can be a productive member of society.
