Parts of a Graph

All graphs are broken up into 4 quadrants. 1. I (+, +) 2. II (-, +) 3. III (-, -) 4. IV (+, -)

The point of origin is the center of the graph. From here, the x-axis runs horizontally (left/right), and the y-axis runs vertically (up/down).  Y↑ is positive  Y↓ is negative  X→ is positive  X← is negative

On a graph, all points are listed as (x, y). A. (5, 3) B. (-3, 1) C. (-6, -4) D. (0, -3) E. (0, 0) F. (4, -5) G. (6.5, 0)

Identify the values of A, B, C, and D. Then, plot the following coordinates: A. (0, 0) B. (5, 2) C. (-4.5, -4.5) D. (0.5, -3) E. (1, 1) F. (2, -2) G. (-3, 3) H. (-4, -2) I. (5, 0) J. (0, -6)

Create a four-quadrant graph and… 1. Label all four quadrants Define the point of origin. 3. Create 3 points per quadrant and define them in terms of (x,y).
