DOCLINE 5.2 Changes included: New schedule feature Allows libraries to set daily availability to lend (“Days of Service” minimum 2) Daily login no longer required Enhanced ‘Out of Office’ date setting Added ability for libraries to set themselves temporarily inactive without RML approval Added ability to set multiple vacation periods October 2015
SECURITY Hack attack: ‘Brute Force’ attempt to gain entry through millions of attempts at ‘guessing’ user logins and passwords Response: Quick action by NLM IT support/security and DOCLINE development team shut down the attack and decreased future vulnerability Account ‘lock out’ time was increased Secondary log in page added with CAPTCHA to foil further attempts Password complexity and validation improved, enforced Inactive libraries and accounts weeded November 2015
