Before You Start Before you can access the CN Technology System you must have a valid NCID and password. If you don’t have one go to: Only users with an “Application Entry” account in the CN Technology system will be able to create, update or renew the online application/agreement.

Last Step Submit ALL of the Required Forms/Documents to NCDPI Child Nutrition Services for approval. The Application/Agreement Packet cannot be approved until all items are submitted.

General Points: Any changes in your program need to be reflected in the online application at the time of the change. It is the responsibility of the CN Administrator to ensure that changes are entered by the person with Application rights are correct. (i.e., personnel, address, phone, , etc.) Any changes made in the Sponsor or Site Applications after approval may change the application status to “Unapproved”. If this occurs please be sure to contact NCDPI to get it reapproved. Please send an to Karla Wheeler at We strongly encourage the use of all NCDPI prototype documents which can be found in the system Download Forms section.

General Points: If you select “No” for any question regarding a prototype form it will produce a Checklist item and you must submit the document to the person designated to approve the document prior to submitting the online application/agreement renewal packet. Your Application/Agreement must be submitted and approved by June 15. Reimbursements (10-11 sy) will not be retroactive. Do not ignore error messages. Anytime you get an error code and you do not know how to resolve it (after reading this PPT or the Manual), please contact Karla Wheeler, Donna Knight or Janet Johnson.

Don’t Forget Submit for Approval Button – Don’t forget to click on this button at the bottom of the screen once you have entered or made changes to an application. DPI CN staff are not able to approve or re-approve your application until this is done. Checklist – The checklist is the third section of the online application/agreement. Remember to check the checklist anytime you make changes to an application to see if it generated and item to send to NCDPI.
