 Be a national institution affiliated with CSSC/TEC  Be fully accredited by NACTE  Demonstrate interest and show potential in leading capacity building for human resource development  Have started applying good practices in training – using innovative training methods, sound curriculum and plans for Clinical Skills Lab  Have explicit commitment from the head of the institution, as well as the relevant hospital to further develop the institution  Have the necessary infrastructure (e.g. laboratories, training and conference facilities, technologies including access to high speed internet, computers, IT support)  Have adequate and relevant human resources in training activities that are interested in the initiative

 Have experience in research with national and international partnerships  Be able to work and collaborate with the CSSC, Ministry of Health and other partners  Have well-established accounting and administrative systems  Have management capacity including resource mobilization capacity  Be located in a CSSC zone that is active but also geographically accessible

 Consider denomination  Have sufficient capacity of the teaching hospital to carry out increased of student numbers  Be partly renovated and be able to scale up training activities  Produce graduates that can have real impact on the health system  Be able to become self reliant and financially sustainable in future
