“Think Global, Act Local” What does it mean? Can you provide an example?

"Think Globally, Act Locally" means personal change. I have always felt baffled when I've seen self-proclaimed environmentalists failing to make changes in their own lifestyles. They are thinking on a global level-- worrying about endangered animals and global warming-- but drive SUVs and eat meat in every meal. I believe that genuine environmentalists always make changes in their own lifestyles to reflect their global concerns. Personal change is the first and most important step in global improvement.

Businesses Introduction Globalisation has resulted in a number of changes in global relationships, including relationships between businesses. Individual businesses are no longer restricted to their local and national market. Their market is the world. Businesses are now able to trade more freely in foreign countries and a growing number are also manufacturing (making) their products overseas.

Changing Global Relations Do businesses play a major part in helping change global relations?
