Change to graduation requirements Passing the CAHSEE in ELA & Math is NO longer a graduation requirement to earn a CA high school diploma Senate Bill (SB) 172 – suspends the CAHSEE testing for the current academic year ( ) and next two academic years ( & )

ASVAB Thursday, February 4 th from 8:05 – 11:30 in the West Gym…(you will miss 1 st – 4 th periods) This is not a mandatory test – BUT it is VERY HELPFUL for future career choices…

Smarter Balanced Assessment Smarter Balanced is replacing CST It is a computer based adaptive test Tests 11 th graders only Testing will begin in April 2015 The EAP (Early Assessment Program for CSU’s) is built into the Smarter Balanced Assessment Purpose: Determine College Readiness in English and Mathematics

Smarter Balanced Assessment-Continued It is VERY important that you participate in the Smarter Balanced Assessment and take it seriously CSU’s and Community Colleges will look at your results…if you score high enough, you will NOT have to take an extra test if you are admitted! Saves you $$$ and time!
