SUMMARY OF CLINICAL: Holroyd Private Hospital, Sydney 8/ /2011 Facilitators: Patricia Hope, Marilyn Magpayo (RN) Clinical Experience include: Medical/surgical ward (140hours) Recovery (140hours) REFLECTION: Through out my time in the Holroyd hospital I have seen and practiced many different roles that nurses play in the acute care system. I learned a range of nursing skills on the job, while also developing the ability to think on my feet and problem solve. Also gained necessary skills and team work in order to perform as a efficient nurse.

Clinical reflection: Provided pre-surgical history and physicals and post surgical follow-up for general surgery patients in a surgical ward. Implemented nursing interventions, in collaboration with the preceptor and other medical professionals, which were grounded in knowledge of path physiology, current interdisciplinary therapies, and primary health care to optimize health and developmental outcomes of patients with chronic illnesses.
