Portglenone Enterprise Group How we work We are a limited company and a registered charity The group has: a board of directors, all of whom are volunteers: two, invaluable, part- time workers: close to 100 volunteers working on a wide range of ongoing projects

The Northern Bank We are purchasing the building with the help of M&EA Council, HLF and our own funds. It will have a heritage/history element and 10 to 12 units aimed at start-up businesses.

Social & Community Groups PEG sponsors, supports and manages a large range of community and interest groups and through these promotes individual wellbeing in terms of physical and mental health. This work includes: sourcing funding, facilities and facilitators for these groups.

Social & Community Groups Sewing Groups Men’s Shed A range of health interest groups each promoting a specific aspect of mental or physical wellbeing. Fitness groups including: keep fit, walking, yoga, dancing.

Social & Community Groups Senior Citizens Youth Group Camera Club Art Group Writers’ Group

Community Events PEG runs 4 big events each year; and this involves the help of about 100 volunteers. These individuals are from all backgrounds, creeds, age groups and walks of life.

Bluebell Festival Walks, talks and fun in one of the most picturesque forests in Ireland. Our spring event

Summer Scheme 4 weeks of organised fun for children aged 5 to 16. Sponsored by EANI and Children in Need.

The Big Splash A week of July fun, centred in the village and on the River Bann.

Christmas Festival A sub committee of PEG festoons the village and the Christmas tree with lights for the arrival of Santa, and hundreds of children, big and small. A massive undertaking, but a great event.

PEG & Mid Ulster Hope you have seen that we are in tune with our community and have a positive track record. We would like to develop a realistic strategy, involving both Mid Ulster and M & E Antrim Councils, which allows us to build on our achievements and continue our work.
