Presentation transcript:

 Get New Timber Living Home  Modern homes built of synthetic materials and dense urban architecture have increased our standard of living. However, they have also alienated us from nature from which we all originate to the point that living in a big city feels like living in a ghetto.  A good way to break the spell and reconnect with nature is to purchase a dwelling made of natural materials. The most convenient and sustainable solution which comes to mind is a log cabin. The first log structures date back to 3500 BC (n.b. Northern Europe). Simple building techniques, readily available materials and excellent thermal insulation have made them popular ever since.

Luxury Timber House

Benefits of owning a log cabin include:  1. A perfect blend with the environment Log cabins are made of milled logs - an organic building material which guarantees a perfect blend into the topography.  2. Superb thermal insulation and energy efficiency Most log cabins are built of spruce and pine - light low density wood (as opposed to oak) which packs a lot of air. Considering that air is the best thermal insulator (because its molecules are far away from each other and thus poor at transferring heat), log cabins are up to 15% more energy efficient than standard homes.

 3. Easy maintenance Log cabins require little maintenance and most of it applies only to the exterior. The interior does not require much maintenance at all because it is not exposed to the elements. ( ) 4. Robust A considerable number of log cabin owners have reported that their cabins withstood hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Some families even claim that their cabin literally saved their lives (e.g. Klingman family from eastern Texas).

Other benefits include:  Fast construction Warmth of wood Log walls act as natural sound insulators Health benefits for people who suffer from allergies Greater value over standard stick-framed homes Durability Renewable construction materials  For more information please contact Coppola Cabins Ltd.
