Sebastian Cabot By Charles Mitkowski

Sebastian Cabot’s Early Years Sebastian Cabot was the son of John Cabot. John Cabot was Italian by birth, but sailed for England. Sebastian was a mapmaker and navigator.

Sebastian Cabot’s Exploration Route Sebastian Cabot sailed between 1497 and 1498. Sebastian and his father John sailed from England to Greenland and then down along the coast of New England.

Why Sebastian Cabot Sailed Sebastian Cabot was the son of explorer John Cabot. Sebastian Cabot searched for routes through North America to Asia.

What Sebastian Cabot Found Sebastian Cabot discovered there was no Northwest Passage through North America. One voyage resulted in a successful trade agreement between England and Russia.

Why We Remember Sebastian Cabot Sebastian Cabot and his father John Cabot led England’s first voyage to North America. Sebastian was a brave pioneer in exploring uncharted territories.

My Favorite Facts About Sebastian Cabot Sebastian Cabot went on a voyage for Spain that was supposed to take him around the world. He only got as far as South America and fought with and abandoned some of his crew. Because his trip was thought to be unsuccessful, Cabot was banished from Spain for two years!!!
