Snabobian Shoe Project Now which one to choose…

Course Objective The purpose of this project is to teach Staboboans the concept of a shoe, and motivate them to buy a pair of shoe immediately after their arrival at the Babson campus.

Final Product Prior to their arrival in campus, as part of the orientation package, an e-learning module will be presented comprising of an informative, engaging and entertaining 3D movie/video and a questionnaire set. Define the attributes and elaborate on the importance of a shoe on earth to an alien via a 3D movie so that they are convinced that shoes are essential items on earth.

Final Product Movie Theme What is a shoe (concept & characteristics)? How does it look like? Purpose of a shoe on earth Experiences of their favorite personality, human beings and/or other aliens pertaining to using a shoe Questionnaire Set Measure audience reaction, interest level and decision

Final Product The effectiveness of this movie will be followed by a questionnaire set with a goal to find out alien decisions. The qualitative and quantitative data from the questionnaire set will measure the degree of their interest and interest to buy a shoe. Delivery Technology: Kindle, Tablet, computer, mobile devices or their preferred tool.

Graphical Representation Analyze Design Development Implement Evaluate Revision

Analysis Need Assessment Audience Analysis Tool Analysis (course creation & authoring tools, and the final delivery product) Resource Assessment

Audience Analysis Detailed Research on Stabbonians: What is their idea of a shoe Do Stabbonians need shoe? If so, how many aliens need it? Which features are important to them and which are not? What price would they be willing to pay, and why? Cultural & Language Differences Fashion preferences (if any?) How open are they to the idea of wearing a shoe Their most preferred gear and color Music and graphics choice (used for the movie) Favorite on and off-screen favorite character or personality (used for the movie) Their favorite technology and device (Final delivery product)

Tool Analysis Do we have the appropriate resources to develop this product? If not, we need to have the appropriate technology and resources to develop this product.

Analysis Specify and justify the Need for shoes on earth Reasons could be as follows: Snabobians body composition may be prone to infection, and the most effective way to protect would be to cover their foot with a shoe Shoes are excellent ways of protecting them from the New England weather Students need to rely on public transport, and without shoes walking around the campus or roads are practically impossible There are local brands which can make customized and affordable shoes particularly for alien feet Cool shoes would help them to better fit into the cool college crowd

Analysis Identify Goals Determine Learning Objective Establish criterion reference items Decide Assessment Tool

Design Determine Look and Feel, Graphic Design, User-interface and Content Refine and Select Delivery Options, Media and Tools Software, Hardware Create Maps and Flow chart Work on creating the storyboard for the movie based on Audience Analysis

Design In this case, as part of the orientation package, an elearning module will be presented comprising of text, images, and an informative, engaging and entertaining 3-D movie/video Movie Theme How a shoe looks like, attributes of a shoe Purpose of a shoe Experiences of their favorite personality, human beings and/or other aliens pertaining to using a shoe

Design Create the questionnaire set based on the audience analysis for testing Design Testing procedure

Develop Create actual content and learning materials based on design phase Develop project based on storyboard and appropriate technology Develop, Test and Debug Project Revise and Review Project Based on Feedback Determine if learning needs and characteristics of audience were accurately analyzed? To what extent are the movie and the participant learning experiences successful in effectively meeting the instructional goals and objectives? Is it possible to accurately assess participant reaction and decision?

Implement Deliver and/or Distribute the Final Product (Movie and the questionnaire set) to target audience for Pilot Study Ensure that the Final Product is Functional

Evaluate Collect Feedback from Target Audience Go Back to Analysis to Refine Project
