Themes Love at first sight… was it love or infatuation? What do you think? Were Friar Laurence’s actions virtuous? Why or why not? What kind of effects did Romeo’s vengeance have? Was it worth it? What kind of effect do our past actions have on our future lives? What were the past actions in Romeo and Juliet that effected the course of their lives?

What is fate? How does it play a role in Romeo & Juliet? List examples. List as many character foils as you can and identify why they are foils.
