The architecture of great Britain consists of an eclectic variety of architectural styles, including those that preceded the creation of the United Kingdom. England became the most influential city of the island's architecture, however, a significant role in the international history of architecture play a unique style of Ireland, Scotland, Wales.

Modernism Modernism emerged before the First world war and came from continental Europe. This interest in local color, plastic catchy "modernist" form, acute- expressive textures. In a similar style constructed, for example, the Hayward Gallery, arts Centre Barbican and the Royal National theatre.
