School History St. Mary’s School, Stayton Oregon I attended this school till the eighth grade. Most of my teachers were nun’s and the Principle was a nun. I liked it there, but I always wanted to go to the public school because they were allowed to wear regular clothes, and at St. Mary’s we had uniforms. I did have a lot of fun there, and found it interesting to have a nun for our teachers. They surprised us with always having a great sense of humor. I attended a public high school, Stayton Union High School, and graduated from there. I found that my favorite classes were literature.
Professional Background I started my career in Corrections at O.W.C.C In Oregon where I was a correctional Officer. I then moved to Idaho and became a Deputy Sheriff for many years. I decided to go back to Corrections, and worked for S.B.W.C.C for several years. Most of my work background is in law enforcement. I decided that the part of law enforcement was the social work part, and decided to go back to school. I feel that a masters degree will open more doors for employment in this field.
