ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATION THROUGH SPEED BREAKER MECHANISM FOR STREET LIGHTING

ABSTRACT Now a days generating the required electrical energy for the street light from non-conventional source i.e.,speed breaker is the latest trend in the technology. The SSB designed based on electro-mechanical technology,and the electricity is generated with PMDC machine.

INTRODUCTION The availability of electrical energy from the conventional sources is decreasing due to continuous usage of limited natural resources. The conventional lighting systems are replaced with high glow power LED’S.

PROBLEM STATEMENT : Electrical energy crisis is a great bottle neck in the supply of energy resource to an economy. All most all the electricity boards in the nation are unable to meet the demand.

PROPOSED METHODOLOGY a) Rubber breaker b) Iron metal sheets Any motion converted into electricity by applying force on electro-mechanical system. The different parts of special speed breaker mechanism are as follows: a) Rubber breaker b) Iron metal sheets c) Rack and pinion d) Springs

LED STREET LIGHTS: LED lamp is designed with a total of 120 LED’S comprising 4 LED’S in series arranged in 30 parallel paths,rating of each LED is 20mA,3.2volts

CONCLUSION The prime objective of the work is to illuminate “Automatic street light that is powered through special speed breaker” mechanism which is designed and developed successfully.
