VC98 March 07Jean-Sébastien GraulichSlide 1 DDAQ Status o DAQ Software o Front-End and Trigger o What will happen soon o Schedule Milestones Jean-Sebastien Graulich, Geneva

VC98 March 07Jean-Sébastien GraulichSlide 2 DDAQ Software  Test Bench in Geneva 1 PC running DATE Using MICE VME-PCi Interface (V2718) IO Register Readout Working (Trigger receiver) Working on TDC V1290 Readout and Initialization  Hideyuki Sakamoto has started learning DATE at Osaka -> tracker readout (VLSB)  Negotiation with CAEN about flash ADC firmware has started (Zero suppression)

VC98 March 07Jean-Sébastien GraulichSlide 3 Front-End And Trigger  Fruitful interaction with Terry Hart on Particle trigger In case of multiple muons per burst, the first one produce a Particle trigger. All Front-End Boards are able to store the information about the multiple muons => if they are well separated in space/time we can hope to use the data Once a particle trigger is received, the next one will be vetoed for 550 ns (the next burst is lost). This is imposed by the flash ADCs.  Lecroy Discriminator LS 4415A (for TOF) under test in Geneva They look OK. Ultimate time resolution is difficult to estimate  Shaper Design completed. Production Prototype to be ordered soon  Splitter Prototype (for TOF) ordered  Material Inventory under way: Signal and HV Cables for TOF and EMCal NIM and Camac crates and PS NIM logic (for Particle and DAQ Trigger)

VC98 March 07Jean-Sébastien GraulichSlide 4 Will Happen Soon  I am going to RAL on March Network Infrastructure Burst Gate Specifications Cable Path and Crate location for PID Discuss the possibility to use TOF wall stations recuperated from WA98 for the Beam Commissioning Stations needed by Kevin Tilley  Ordering of Network Switches  Send Funding Request for Computing Equipments to Geneva University Event Builders Local Storage Disks Online Monitoring PCs

VC98 March 07Jean-Sébastien GraulichSlide 5 Schedule Milestones  DAQ Test bench including Event builder: End of March 2007 Delayed by ~ 1 month  Order Network Switches: End of March 2007  Start Shaper Production April 2007  Order Event Builder: April 2007 Might be delayed to June for funding reasons  Order Local Storage Disks June 2007  Move DDAQ system to RAL: July 2007
