Prerequisites Math 1314: Pass with a “C” or better AND, Math 1316: Pass with a “C” or better or Departmental approval

1. Plan to come on time, with materials 2. Be ready to learn new lessons everyday 3. Be ready to turn in practice sheets everyday. Expectations

Classroom Rules –Be here. –Be respectful. –Have your materials. –Avoid using your cell phones or other electronic devices in the room, unless permitted. If it is an emergency, please take your calls outside to avoid disruption.

Expectations 4. We are covering 3 to 4 sections each day. Please bring your textbook, or register on the coursecompass for your e-book (laptops can only be used in class for e- book). 5.We will have a 10-minute break halfway through the period. 6.Checkpoint assessment every Tuesday.

Grading Formula Average of 3 Tests (Best of 3 for Test 1-4) =60% Average of Practice/Checkpoint/Homework =15% Final Exam =25% ________________________________________________________ A (90-100) B(80-89) C (70-79) D (60-69) F (0-50) Warm-up is given every meeting. Credit on warm-up will be added to next major grade test.

Make-ups/ credit on work Plan to take 3 out of 4 tests. If you take all 4, the lowest is dropped. No make-up for missed warm-up. Checkpoint/practice may be turned in only within the week assigned. Rubric for checkpoint/practice – has to show logical work to get credit.
