Homework and Grading: Homework and Grading:  Homework will be assigned daily. It is a way to practice the skills required for mastery and to prepare for assessments. It is understood that students will struggle at times completing homework. Homework is checked for completion and effort, not accuracy.  Homework, learning checks, other graded class work will count for 10% of each marking period grade and will appear in the grade book as Formative Assessments. Tests, quizzes and other assessments will be weighted as 90% of each marking period grade and will appear in the grade book as Summative Assessments.  Student's 4 marking period grades (80%) plus the 5 th marking period, which is the midterm, final and 2 core assessments (20%) will determine their final grade for the year.

Absences:  If you are absent, you will be expected to make-up any work missed when you return to school.  Please check my teacher site for missed work that may be able to be completed at home.

Extra Help Extra Help: If extra help is needed, I am available before and after school and during resource. Calculators: We will be using the Ti 83/84 Graphing Calculators throughout the school year. We do have a class set to use while in the classroom, but it is recommended that you purchase one. This is a high school investment.

9 th Grade – Algebra 2/Trig 10 th Grade – Acc. Precalculus/Trig 11 th Grade –AP Calculus AB 12 th Grade – AP Calculus BC Prerequisite to move from Algebra 2/Trig to Accelerated Precalculus/Trig is 80%.
