Do you like the Tang poems? Do you know some famous poets of Tang Dynasty? Can you give some examples? Which poems are their most famous poems?

Who do you think the poet’s “friend” is? A close friend or an aquantance? Do you know why the poet is saying farewell? Read the poem “Farewell to a Friend” written by Li Bai then answer: Where do you think it takes place? Is the friend going away for a long time? How is the friend going to travel?

Can you translate the poem into English? 送友人 李白 青山横北郭, 白水绕东城。 此地一为别, 孤蓬万里征。 浮云游子意, 落日故人情。 挥手自兹去, 萧萧班马鸣。

Now read another Tang poem and try to traslate it into English. 赠汪伦 李白 李白乘舟将欲行, 忽闻岸上踏歌声。 桃花潭水深千尺, 不及汪伦送我情。
