Baby Boom WWII delayed marriages and child-bearing When men come home there was a dramatic increase in child births

GI Bill Provides low interest loans to veterans for homes, businesses and school Suburbs are created Levittown, NY Entire suburb built the same way Consumer Spending increases because of the need for household goods

Interstate Highway Act When suburbs are created there is a need for new roads – infrastructure Water, Sewer and Power Grids IHA 1956 – Eisenhower – was needed to move troops and supplies around There is a need for wider roads and link populations together Allows for the growth of suburbs
