All About Me Hello, my name is Parker. I like to play football, baseball, and basketball. I am 12 years old and in 6 th grade. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters. I also have two dogs. I also play AAU basketball. My team is called the Silverado's.

My Journal Entries My first entry was Fall Is… I chose it because I thought I gave pretty good detail and descriptive words. Another one of my best entries is about what I am Thankful For. I gave a lot of detail. I also had good handwriting. I also gave good reasons to back up my ideas.

Fall Is… Beginning Of the year A time of Halloween, pranks, and scaring. Don’t forget Thanksgiving. The weather isn’t very good in fall. It’s rainy, windy, and pretty cold too. You will probably see a lot of leaves on the ground (unless you rake your yard). In the fall there are shorter days and longer nights. There are a lot of things that you eat or drink or do. Like apple cider,apple pie, apple dumplings, and the Johnny Appleseed festival. There you can ride the rides, eat the food and have a drink with it, there are competitions, and even live music. That is what I think fall is about

Me As a Reader I think I have really improved as a reader because I am now a level Z in reading. When I explain what I read, I give a lot more detail. When I read books, I can read them a little bit faster.

Look at me as a Writer I have also improved as a writer. Like better handwriting and more detail. My first writing was very short and now they are a lot longer.

Teacher Read Aloud The 1 st book that are teacher read to us was On My Honor by Marion Dane Bauer. I did not really like this book because there was no humor. The 2 nd book that are teacher read to us was The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo. I really liked this book because it had humor in it and I really like animals. The 3 rd book that she read to us was The Cay by Theodore Taylor. This book was kind of boring at the beginning but it turned into a really good book. The 4 th book that she read to us was The Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell. This was my 2 nd favorite book next to The Tiger Rising. They had my favorite characters. The 5 th book is Lawn Boy by Gary Paulsen. I kind of like this book because it talks a lot about economics and I think that is kind of boring. The final book that she will be reading is Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

Christmas Project

I play baseball at United. I play pitcher, catcher, shortstop, second base, and a little bit of first base. I play on the same team as RJ. We play baseball at Hall Park in Winona. I love baseball. It is my 2 nd favorite sport next to basketball.

9 Week Gifted Progress Report

My Year in Review My year in sixth grade was awesome it was my favorite year. Even though I had to do more work for gifted, it was fun. For choir we got to go to Kennywood. We got to make ice cream. We also got to go to a Rubber Ducks baseball game.
