Focus on individual tutoring: Obligatory research design to be submitted (objectives, hypotheses, methodology, scientific relevance) prior to the attendance of DCs/Seminars Choice of the two supervisors Choice of the thesis‘ subject plus area of specialization Presentation and defensio of the dissertation project before the faculty‘s promotion commission prior to the attendance of DCs and the seminars Emphasis on scientific and in-depth discussion of the respective dissertation project through the two DCs Final Rigorosum To be done after positive assessment of the thesis and both DCs and seminars Oral exam before the faculty‘s promotion commission Candidate has to present and defend his/her thesis plus proving his knowledge in the thesis‘ subject Doctoral Studies since 2009 (current system)
