How To Combat Warning Signs Of Strep Throat?

What causes strep throat? Strep throat is caused due to Group A streptococcal bacteria. It’s quite different from viral sore throat and you should never ignore its symptoms.

How strep throat spreads? It spreads via air passage when an infected person coughs or sneezes without using a handkerchief. It can spread by sharing utensils and water bottles with an infected person. The infection can also spread by touching any object that came in contact with the infected individual.

6 Warning Signs Of Strep Throat 1. Sudden & Severe Sore Throat Along With Painful Swallowing 2. Fever Over 101°F 3. Red & Swollen Tonsils with White Patches 4. Skin Rashes or Body Aches 5. Headache, nausea or vomiting 6. Swollen & tender lymph nodes

How to get rid of strep throat? If your throat is sore due to bacterial infection, then only home remedies can’t help you in getting rid of it. You need to take antibiotics to treat strep throat. You need to complete the full course of antibiotics in order to avoid any serious repercussions. If you don’t treat your strep throat or don’t complete your antibiotic dosage, it can lead to serious complications like rheumatic fever and kidney disorder. Doctor may give you Amoxicillin, cephalexin, erythromycin, Penicillin or any other antibiotic.

5 Home Remedies to ease the symptoms of Strep Throat Gargle with warm salt water 2-3 times a day. Suck on some over-the-counter throat lozenges. Drink herbal teas twice or thrice a day to soothe your painful throat. Gargle with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar. Eat a tablespoon of honey mixed with a few drops of ginger juice 3-4 times a day.

5 Tips to follow while you suffer from strep throat Sleep for a few extra hours so that your immune system can work efficiently. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
