LBT SURVEY 2014 FEEDBACK AND RESPONSE

Thanks for completing the survey! A big thanks to the 126 people who filled in our survey and gave us some great insights and comments. The next slides summarise some of the key comments and actions we are taking. A more comprehensive set of the results are available on our forum for your interest and further comment (the items on the next slides are not the only things we’re doing!) – it’s an evolving process and we welcome your continuous feedback to keep building our club If you have any other comments, please contact

Key comments and actions YOU SAIDWHAT WE’VE DONE / WHAT WE’RE PLANNING Open Water – More coaching for Open Water skills Mass start practice Better gate control We ran a session in July for Mass starts and open water skills. We will ask our coaches to put on more coached sessions at OWS next year. Mass start (and sighting) practice in the pool sessions is generally included in April/May. Combi lock is working well this year. Cycling – Bike Handling skills Bike maintenance Transition training More weekend rides Time trials We are exploring a partnership with a new venue to run some events including bike handling skills. We will be advertising bike maintenance sessions as soon as we have finalised a venue. We will re-introduce some weekend rides in Oct-Dec (we need a pool of “leaders” who will be willing to help on these – if you’re willing to help please let us know We are looking to re-introduce some events such as time trials in 2015.

Key comments and actions YOU SAIDWHAT WE’VE DONE / WHAT WE’RE PLANNING Running – Hill reps Other sessions We are planning on pushing the winter cross country league this year as well as a parkrun LBT league / mob-run. We have asked our coaches to look at introducing a second (but maybe not weekly) run session which will not always be on track. Social – More interaction and opportunities for meeting other members Summer BBQ The 3 main social events we currently have are: -National Relays (August); -End of Season Social (November); -AGM and Social (February) Please do use these to come and socialise. For 2015 we will look at introducing an early/mid-summer BBQ in Leeds or Bradford There is also Burger Thursday on the first Thursday of each month at The Arc in Headingley (8.30pm, after track session). This is an ideal opportunity to meet up with other members. New members especially welcome!

Key comments and actions YOU SAIDWHAT WE’VE DONE / WHAT WE’RE PLANNING New Members/novices - Specific sessions for new members/novices Support for new members and novices We will run one or two novice days, specifically for those less-experienced triathletes, in early We have put in place a coordinator for new members who can answer questions, make introductions, contact coaches for you, and also arrange for someone to accompany new members/novices to sessions. (potential- Other Comments - Swim analysis sessions? Transition training? Yoga/Pilates? Strength/Conditioning sessions? We have asked our coaches to look at running some swim analysis sessions, and some transition specific sessions. There is a new yoga course running in October on a trial basis. The conditioning session we ran in Shipley was stopped in summer, with poor take-up. We are seeking other options.
