Thursday 14 th January, 2016 Number 16 FOREST SCHOOL Y1 and Y2 children are doing forest school this Friday. They will be building a mud kitchen on the school field. They will need old clothes, wellies and a warm coat. WANTED Does anyone have or can get hold of an old kitchen sink that we can build into our kitchen. Please let Claire Beaty know if you do and we can arrange to collect it if necessary. Thank you for your help. AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS Monday- FILM CLUB – Wall-e 3.15 to 5pm Monday- DETECTIVE CLUB 3.15 to 4.15pm Any child who attends Detective Club and has a sibling in Film Club will be allowed to go to Film Club when Detective Club finishes. Thurs- Sphere Club 3.15 to 4.15pm Film Club and Sphere Club £1 Detective Club £2 BUILDING WORK ON SCHOOL PREMISES Work starts on Monday to move the office and build a new entrance. A container will be delivered on Monday and part of the front of the school yard will be caged off. From Monday Class one children should enter school via the existing main entrance, Class two children should enter via the double gates beside the road. The same rule will apply at home time. PE KIT On Monday Class 2 children will need their PE kit and swimming kit, Adam Young from Beacon Hill School is coming to do dodge ball. Class 1 children need their PE kit on MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY. If would be helpful if kit could be sent in on Monday and left till Friday.

It will take about an hour and we will explain the new Reading and Writing program that we are now use in school. Selected children are able to access the program on the internet from home, and we think it will be beneficial for parents to know how the program works. SCHOOL MILK If you would like your child/children to have a portion of school milk each day, please send £5 each into school to cover the cost. Milk if free for reception children Thank you RE-CYCLED SCHOOL UNIFORM In the front entrance we have a box containing second hand school uniform, Parents are welcome to check it out to see if there is anything you can re-use. There is also a box to make a small donation to school funds if you wish.
