Easy commands An easy way to make a command in Spanish is to use the words “favor de” followed by an infinitive (unconjugated verb). Favor de + infinitive

Ejemplos Favor de no hablar. (Don’t talk.) Favor de venir aquí. (Come here.)

Polite Using “favor de + infinitive” as a command is considered very polite and can be used with all people.

Infinitives + Pronouns Whenever you need to use a pronoun with an infinitive, the pronoun is simply attached to the end of the infinitive to make one word. Ejemplos: Favor de ayudarme. (Help me.)

How would you say “Please speak spanish”? Favor de hablar español.

How would you ask someone to go to the store? Favor de ir a la tienda.

How would you ask someone to study? Favor de estudiar.

Favor de activity Use “favor de” to play Simon Says. Teacher: Call out “favor de” and add an infinitive from the following slide. You can leave the slide projected for students to reference as they practice the command. Be sure to say some of the infinitives without “favor de” to catch students and get them out.
