@AXUG MEETING SUMMARY The meeting was well attended: 37 attendees, 13 companies, and 4 different versions of AX! Over 20 came early for the manufacturing tour at Leatherman Tool Group. We then headed over to the Hilton Garden for lunch and informal networking. After chapter and AXUG business, we did introductions and shared ideas for future topics and current challenges. The suggested topics will be posted on the chapter online community. We broke out into 3 subgroups for an hour of roundtable discussions: customizations, lean manufacturing, and AX The groups were very engaged and it was hard to get them redirected to our main presentation! Travis Pierce presented showcasing Leatherman Tool Group’s 2012 R3 implementation. They have been live 4 months!!! Several Leatherman team members were in attendance and provided additional details. They are using kanban material flow in manufacturing; discrete production orders in packaging/logistics; TMS/WMS is being utilized for shipping; and purchasing and payables workflow logic. About 12 of us continued networking after the meeting at Sidelines which was a short walk away. Everything went well – tour, catering, roundtable, presentation, and networking!!! Looking forward to our next meeting at the Microsoft facility and meeting one of our sponsors and our meeting topic will be reporting options and best practices depending on your reporting needs. 1
