Import existing part with drawing NX Manager Import existing part with drawing

File -> Import Assembly into Teamcenter…

Change load options as necessary

Click ‘Add Part’, browse to the part file; repeat for drawing file Use ‘Add Assembly’ for assembly files, components will be added automatically Use ‘Add Part’ to add drawing files of components as needed

Change to the numbering tab ‘Import Numbering’ should be set to ‘User Number’

Assign revision, 01 will be assigned automatically if the part does not already exist in TC Part type is ‘Item’ Part File Type is ‘Master’

Change attribute values as necessary (press enter to update change)

For a drawing: part type is ‘Item’ Delete “_dwg” from part number (this should be the name of the part file the drawing references) Assign part revision Part file type is ‘Specification’ Enter part file name <part>_dwg Press OK

Check ‘Dry Run’ Press ‘Execute’ to list what actions will be taken

If output looks ok, uncheck ‘Dry Run’ and press ‘Execute’

Part file and drawing will be added to the same container Item will appear in location you specified
