CLASS VISION I will with confidence, strive to speak, read, write and think above my level, so that I may grow ESOL levels to exit out of ESOL. I will speak life and hope into my life and others. I believe everyone is capable of achieving excellence, and is capable of going to college. Therefore, I will act like a college student starting today. English through ESOL Standard I will be able to analyze and evaluate how an author effectively uses the structure of the text in his or her exposition or argument, to make their points clear, convincing, and engaging. (Argument, Claim, &Counter argument) will complete argument, claim and counter claim analysis on the Declaration of Independence.

English Through ESOL Essential Question: When is rebellion justified? Hot Question: Why are documents such as the Declaration of Independence important? Explain why. What actions should people take when they are being treated unfair?
English through ESOL Periods 1 & 5, 7 CEP: I will complete analyze of various text and identify and provided argument, claim, and counter claim. I will know I have mastered this when I can answer text questions and short response using claim, evidence, and reasoning with 80% accuracy.
