N A T I O N A L A S S O C I A T I O N O F I N T E R C O L L E G I A T E A T H L E T I C S  Recruiting practices for student-athletes must be in line with that of the recommended and acceptable practices of the institution  Practices shall be controlled by the regularly constituted institutional committee on student loans and scholarship  Conference regulations must be followed as well when applicable Recruiting Student-Athletes

N A T I O N A L A S S O C I A T I O N O F I N T E R C O L L E G I A T E A T H L E T I C S  High School Students  Coaches may contact prospective students once they begin high school  Junior College Students  Coaches may contact prospective students at the conclusion of the academic year in which the student participates in their first season of competition  Students Enrolled at other 4-year institutions  Coaches may not contact students who are enrolled at other 4-year institutions  If a coach is contacted by a student enrolled at another 4-year institution. The coach must notify the student’s current AD or FAR in writing within 10 days of first contact Recruiting Student-Athletes

N A T I O N A L A S S O C I A T I O N O F I N T E R C O L L E G I A T E A T H L E T I C S  Financial Assistance  Institutions may not provide financial assistance to a prospective student athlete to visit their institution, unless that is the normal practice of the institution when recruiting students with special talents  Limits  There are no limits to the number of campus visits a prospective student may take Campus Visits

N A T I O N A L A S S O C I A T I O N O F I N T E R C O L L E G I A T E A T H L E T I C S  Tryouts are permitted as long as they are in line with the institution’s regular policy for evaluation and procurement of students with special talents  Tryouts must take place on the institution’s campus or home competition site if off campus  Tryouts may not last more than 48 hours in total Tryouts
