KEY POINT ∥ [S + V + O + to 부정사 ] 구문의 수동태 : 이 구문을 수동태로 전환할 때 to- 부정사를 주어로 써서는 안 된다. 수동태의 주어로 목적어만이 가능하다. [S + V + O + to 부정사 ] 의 수동태 They allowed us to visit Harry once a week. → We were allowed to visit harry once a week. (O) → To visit Harry once a week was allowed. (X)

People considered Jim to be dangerous. → Jim was considered to be dangerous. He asked me to read the poem. → I was asked to read the poem by him.

◎ 주어가 부정어인 문장의 수동태 : 능동의 문장에서 No- 로 시 작되는 부정대명사가 주어인 문장을 수동태로 전환할 때 No- 는 “not ~by any-” 로 해야 한다. Any- 로 시작되는 부정대명사 가 부정문에서 주어로 쓰일 수 없고, No- 로 시작되는 부정대 명사가 전치사의 목적어로 쓰일 수 없기 때문이다. Nobody loves her.(O) WARNING → She is not loved by anybody.(O) → She is loved by nobody.(X) Anybody doesn’t love her.(X)
