In part, your mission is that… ……. we strive to cultivate an innovative and sustainable region by bridging the gap between industry, education, government, and infrastructure. Our job is to convene these disparate groups in order to craft an economic base that expands existing business, promotes new economic opportunities (jobs) ………….. Concluding Thoughts:  Employers choose the best person for the job, with little concern to where that person lives.  People choose to live in areas that afford them a certain lifestyle, and tend not to move if they can commute to a new job.  East County’s economic prosperity is dependent on a reliable, multimodal transportation network that connects people to their jobs, and employees to their employers.
