Creating Your Arrangement After cutting the stem, submerge in water immediately. Do not rip the stems as this causes trauma to the plan and will die more quickly. Strip the leaves off of any area that will be submerged in water – leaving them will cause decay. Consider height of each stem – think before you trim. Negative space Color placement Juxtaposing textures Think beyond the edges of the vase Ultimately, you are creating a living work of art. Please treat it as such.
