Introduction Ashford University Robert Jones EDU 695 MAED Capstone Instructor: Dr. Orvie Mizzell-Bullock March 31, 2015

Hello class, my name is Robert Jones I live in Decatur GA, married and have 4 children, one of my professional goals is to fully utilize my master in education degree in the social services field to assist the underprivileged in obtaining their educational needs. Fig. 1. Wedding Ring (married couples marriage) Fig. 2. Number 4 (ventures) Fig. 3. City of Decatur (althomesearch) Fig. 4. Master Sign (

The masters in education program has opened up my understanding to a lost generation of people that I believe in some form or another has been overlooked, I believe through this program I’m more aware of the needs of this population and it allows me an opportunity to effectively help. Fig. 5. Lost Generation ( Fig. 6. Man sitting on degree(ventures)

The most influential design and development challenge I have faced as part of the MAED program has to be creating an assistive technology plan for children with autism, I overcame these challenges by embracing the assignment and informing myself with what this population has to deal with and creating an educational plan that addresses the need. The experience certainly allowed me to have a conversation about autism and it’s sometime unnoticed or undetected symptoms. Fig. 7. umbrella ( Fig. 8. Assistive Technology (

“Education is the most crucial function of any government. It awakens children to cultural values. Instructional strategies in the inclusion classrooms are beneficial to students”. Siegel, L. M. (2011). The complete IEP guide: How to advocate for your special Ed child. Berkeley, CA: Nolo.
