Home care is supervised by a registered nurse (RN) who works with a physician, pharmacist & other health care providers to administer a care plan that involves the patient and/or other care givers.

Home Infusion Pharmacies specialize in preparing admixtures, and infusion pumps, and specialize in various aspects of a patient’s care plan. The same rules apply in preparing admixtures in home infusion as do in hospital pharmacy.
