Process Flow WEX to OJT Private Sector WEX Is designed to promote the development of good work habits and basic work skills at the work-site (work experience may be conducted with the public and private non-profit sectors and with the private for-profit sector when the design for this service is described in the approved grant plan). Expectations – set a target –Training –Data –Tracking –Practice –Policies Outreach to WEX to OJTs Promote Economic and social advancement of farmworker, Hispanics and disadvantaged Individuals through the provision of education, training, advocacy and services that enhance self-sufficiency.

Employer Outreach Greetings…. OHDC is a nonprofit organization and we help people find better jobs preferably a year round position. If you hire an OHDC client you will be hiring a highly dependable employee who has worked hard in order to attain the skill levels needed to qualify for a better job. We also offer incentives for employers that hire our clients such as OJT’s or On the Job Training agreements where we would reimburse up to 50% of a new employee’s wages for a set amount of hours. In those instances where you don’t want to start an OJT without committing to a client, we can offer a 2-4 week Work Experience (WEX) in which we would pay them and they would work for you gaining valuable experience and at the end of the WEX we could easily transition this into an OJT or you can hire them directly. If you interview an applicant and you think he or she might qualify for our program please don’t hesitate to call us so that we can enroll them and get them started on an OJT. We can also give then some assistance for new wok clothes, gas or other supports that can sometimes be a barrier for some folks in starting a new job.
