WARM - UP Look at the map and answer the following questions.

1.Find the countries nearest to the North Pole. 2.Find the country whose people like hamburgers and pumpkin pie. 3.Find the country whose national emblem has a merlion.

VOCABULARY STUDY 1.diamond-shaped (adj): having the shape of a diamond. E.g: Singapore is a diamond-shaped island. 2. multiracial(adj): including or involving several different races of people: E.g: Singapore is a multiracial country. 3. official (adj): greed to, said, done, etc. by sb who is in a position of authority: E.g: One of the official language of Singapore is English. 4. climate (n): the regular pattern of weather conditions of a particular place: E.g: There’s a variety of climate in Canada.
